We held our Christmas
Social Afternoon on Saturday 8th December 2007.
This year we held a mini-exhibition of
some of the results of our workshops during the year.
Book-wraps made at the Annette Emms workshop were much admired.
As always, stalls were an
attraction and included hand-dyed fabrics and threads and
fibres for embellishing.
Our speaker was Eliza McLelland, beader and
actress, who entertained us with her experiences - "to bead or not to bead".
Eliza brought examples of her work, and both her beading and her memory quilt
were a delight to the eye.
Afterwards she joined members for the Christmas tea.
