WORKSHOP - 'GO FOR GOLD - THE METALLIC TALE''  - with Viv Arthur from Art Van Go

This workshop was offered in response to members' requests for an opportunity to  use some of the new products available for incorporation into embroidery.

Viv showed how her three inspirational pieces were achieved using different mixes of paint, binders, bronzing powders, pearl lustre, pigments etc:

Members of the group explored and compared various types of metallic paints with lots of concocted mixes (mud pies for adults) and applied them to paper or fabric by rolling or printing.

This was a day of experimentation which enabled members to see how different mediums and gels influence the final result, and so to gain a greater understanding of metallic paints in order to create effects desired in their own work.
