	JANUARY 8th Saturday Workshop ‘Jazzy Jewellery’ with ANGIE HUGHES Combined lustrous velvets, organzas and metallics with machine embroidery to make unusual and wearable jewellery.	JULY 16th Saturday Workshop ‘Dazzling Headpieces’ with Guild Scholar CHRISTINE KEYS Using traditional millinery materials you will learn to create your own individual headpiece. Suitable for beginners.
	FEBRUARY 12th Saturday Workshop ‘ Revelations’ with JEAN MOBBS-WEBB Explore rich decorative surfaces by bonding, layering, cutting and stitching onto felts and silks with the addition of tassels and beads.	AUGUST 13th Extra Saturday Workshop ‘Free Sculptural Beading’ with FANNY WRIGHT Choose an exciting colour scheme and make a sculptural beaded piece which can be developed into a brooch, necklace or earrings.
	MARCH 11th Friday Evening Talk 7.30 – 8.30pm ‘ Frazzled and Dazzled’ by ALISON BRAMLEY 12th Saturday Workshop ‘Frayed Foliage’ with ALISON BRAMLEY who uses bright coloured silks with a raw edge appliqué technique.	SEPTEMBER Saturday Afternoon 2.00 – 4.00pm Annual General Meeting. The Reddings Community Centre. SOPHIE WILSON will give a talk with slides on local textile designers and their work in the Cheltenham Museum Collection.		top

SEPTEMBER 13th 40^THANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION AT WALLSWORTH HALL. Opening and preview 7.00pm to 9.00pm by invitation. SEPTEMBER 30th Friday Evening Talk & Buffet, 7.00- 9.00pm at Wallsworth Hall (Tickets only). Stitch a Celebration of Hand and Machine Embroidery. By JAN BEANEY.
	MAY 14th & 15th Weekend Workshop ( CANCELLED ‘ Celebrating Cloth and Stitch’ with AMANDA CLAYTON ) Instead: 14th -' Raised Stitches for Texture' with LOUISE WATSON A handstitching day using knots, tufted stitches, buttonhole loops and couching over rings and beads for texture and raised effects. Inspiration will be taken from natural forms such as lichen, mossy walls, forest floors or footpaths. 15th -' Text and Textiles' with ANGIE HUGHES A newly devised course using words as pattern which will include layers and stitching.	OCTOBER 1st, 2nd Weekend Workshop at Wallsworth Hall ‘Connections and Networks’ with JAN BEANEY Create beautiful coloured and textured surfaces inspired by nature or manmade artefacts. A simple grid on soluble fabric forms the base for hand stitching.		top

Explore many variations, combining fabrics and threads, layering and stitching all day.	NOVEMBER 11th Friday Evening Talk 7.30- 8.30pm A Russian Christmas by PAMELA SMITH NOVEMBER 12th Saturday Workshop ‘Inspiration from Icons’ with PAMELA SMITH. We will design and stitch jewel-like textiles based on the texture and symbolism of painted icons.
		DECEMBER Saturday 10th Afternoon 2-4pm. Christmas Social. The Reddings Community Centre . Speaker KIRSTIE BUCKLAND on ‘The Mysteries of Capping’. Raffle, Bring and Buy and seasonal refreshments.

	WORKSHOP ON THE WEB . . . . . . is for members who wish to experiment and develop their skills in the company of like-minded people following workshops from Maggie Grey’s International Computer Magazine. Meetings are held on the last Monday of the month whenever possible at Longford Village Hall, off the old A38 Tewkesbury to Gloucester Road (near Gloucester) from 9.30am- 3.30pm. We still have room for a few more members. Cost is £15 for three days or £7 for one day. In the afternoon, 1.30 - 3.30pm, on the same day and venue, Jan Evans teaches an introductory course to new members wishing to gain more experience and background knowledge of embroidery. The cost is £5 per afternoon.
