The Cotswold Branch has been very lucky to have professional
artists and teachers among its membership. We have been able to call on
their talents and kindness both with assembling the exhibition,
demonstrating and exhibiting their work.
Richard Box, renowned Embroiderer and Author, also accepted an
invitation to join us for the preview and then as Artist in Residence
He writes: I enjoyed my visit enormously and felt privileged to
spend so much time in a very special and unique museum.
Jan Evans, who is very
supportive of the Cotswold Branch, helped hang the exhibition and
stepped in at the last minute to demonstrate and be Artist in Residence
over a weekend.
Liz Harding, in charge of hanging the exhibits, gave two very
interesting lunchtime talks describing how most exhibits came into
being. Members and visitors alike appreciated her professionalism. Liz
kindly accepted the invitation to be Artist in Residence for a week
during our exhibition. She is seen below demonstrating to some of the
many visitors, along with pictures of her work.
